We all know Marylebone to be one of the more affluent areas of London, but that doesn’t stop us from strolling around the area from time to time.
It is a more serene area, and it is a good break from the busy central crowds, especially during the summer. With the heat and walking around, a nice, cold cup of drink would be an appropriate refresher.
Morena would definitely quench your thirst while allowing you to keep within your budget with their £1 promotion on their selected drinks!
Located on St. Christopher’s Place, not far from Bond Street, Morena is a little cafe that serves Colombian coffee, tea, and many other selections of refreshing drinks.
They also have açaí bowls and freshly baked goods inspired by Latin America to pair with your drink.
Since I had just come from lunch, I wasn’t too hungry for any of the baked goods; although they were tempting, I was there for their £1 drink like the many others in the line.
This promotion definitely attracted a crowd; fortunately, I was early enough to beat the line and only had to wait 10 minutes for it.
The £1 promotion applies not only to their coffees and teas but also to their signature drinks, which is definitely a deal in my books!
I ordered the Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte because it is one of my favorite combinations for a sweet treat.
The drink comes with a sweet strawberry purée at the bottom with the usual matcha latter poured over it.
Honestly, I didn’t expect purée to be there rather, I thought it was going to be a flavoured syrup like how other coffee chains would do it.
I really liked the strawberry purée because it gave a sweet and slightly sour tang, which, as I expected, blended well with the matcha latte.
You can even feel the texture of the crushed strawberries, which elevated the already tasty drink.
The matcha itself was not anything different from other coffee chains, so the strawberry purée was definitely the star of the show.
Overall, the drink was a refreshing combination, and it quenched my thirst as I continued on my way into Marylebone.
It surely made it the best £1 I’ve ever spent. Make your way to Morena now to get your choice of drink for the low price of £1.
We don’t know when this promotion will end, so it is best to go while it lasts. However, they will soon announce the ending dates on their Instagram.
